The owner intends to present a board recommendation for award on June 22, 2022, with the Notice of Intent to Award issued by end of day June 22, 2022.

Bids exceeding $100,000 require submission of a 5% surety bid bond, with the successful bidder required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds equal to 100% of the contract amount issued by a corporate surety authorized in Georgia. The contract award will be determined based on the lowest responsive and responsible bid, with consideration given to financial stability and demonstrated ability to complete the project on schedule. Contractors must possess a minimum of two years of experience under their present company name for similar projects and provide references documenting prior work. The Dougherty County School System encourages local, minority-owned, and disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) participation and requires all workers to pass background checks for felony and sex offender convictions. Additional requirements include compliance with Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act (E-Verify), drug-free and tobacco-free workplace policies, asbestos notification compliance, and adherence to equal opportunity employment policies.
