About this file
This is a Bid Bond Form for the Ontario International Airport Authority (OIAA) related to the Zero Emissions Initiatives Phase 1 project, which involves construction services for the installation of seventeen new electric vehicle charging stations at Ontario International Airport in California. The project will support Electric Ground Support Equipment (eGSE) operations and will be performed at Terminal 2 and Terminal 4 apron areas, as well as within existing and new electrical rooms located throughout both terminal buildings. The bid bond must be submitted with the bid proposal, unless accompanied by a certified or cashier's check, and serves as security for the principal's performance obligations upon contract award.
The bid bond requires a surety amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the aggregate amount bid by the principal. If the principal's bid is accepted and awarded by the OIAA but the principal fails to enter into a contract and execute required bonds within thirty (30) days after award, the obligors shall pay the OIAA the full ten percent (10%) of the aggregate bid amount as liquidated damages. All signatures on the bond must be notarized and corporate seals affixed. The surety's attorney-in-fact must attach a power of attorney from the surety company authorizing the signatory to execute the bond on the surety's behalf.
