About this file
This is a lead-based paint (LBP) survey report documenting the presence of lead-containing paint and lead-based paint in 12 buildings at 4 Lazy F Ranch in Moose, Wyoming. The survey was conducted by Northern Industrial Hygiene, Inc. on May 20-21, 2025, using X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis to identify painted components containing lead at concentrations equal to or greater than 1.0 mg/cm² (LBP) or detectable lead below 1.0 mg/cm² (LCP).
The survey identified LBP on components in five buildings: End Cabin (5 components), Mrs. Oliver's Cabin (6 components), Middle Cabin (5 components), Nurse's Cabin (2 components), and Main Lodge (5 components). LCP was detected in all buildings except Mouse House. Specifically, Harry's Cabin contained 11 LCP components; George's Cabin contained 1 LCP component; End Cabin contained 7 LCP components; Mrs. Oliver's Cabin contained 7 LCP components; Middle Cabin contained 6 LCP components; River Cabin contained 12 LCP components; Nurse's Cabin contained 9 LCP components; Main Lodge contained 10 LCP components; Ice House contained 4 LCP components; New Cabin contained 6 LCP components; and 3-Bay Garage contained 2 LCP components. The report includes detailed XRF test results, location drawings identifying LBP/LCP components, and recommendations that contractors comply with EPA Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) rules and OSHA lead-in-construction regulations when disturbing painted surfaces. The report emphasizes that LCP-coated surfaces in poor condition or those that will be disturbed may present hazardous conditions requiring remediation according to OSHA standards.
