About this file
This document outlines the technical requirements for upfitting a light duty vocational truck for the United States Navy. Key requirements include painting the truck green and adding military markings. The engine must be JP8 compatible and several General Services Administration options are mandated including underbody protection. The standard truck bed is to be replaced with a Knapheide gooseneck utility body of specified dimensions and features. Additional requirements cover wheels, axles, hitches, wiring, toolboxes and other equipment. Bidders must participate in design reviews. This upfit configuration supports the draft solicitation number 47QMCA22R0014 for the procurement of 2023 light duty vocational trucks by the General Services Administration to fulfill agency needs. Final proposals are due by September 12, 2022.
