About this file

This document contains the Attachment B - Approved for Construction Manual for the George Mason University Piedmont and Tidewater Dormitories Roofing Replacement project, Project No.: 247-221547. The project involves the removal of the existing asphalt shingle roofing, underlayment, flashings and roof penetrations on the Piedmont and Tidewater dormitory buildings, and replacement with a new asphalt shingle roofing system. Additional insulation is to be installed in the attic spaces. The existing built-up roofing on the low roof connecting the Piedmont and Tidewater buildings will be removed down to the existing deck and replaced with a fully-adhered EPDM roofing system. The buildings will remain occupied and operational throughout construction, and occupants and pedestrians shall be protected at all times.

The pricing terms, funding sources, and other salient details are not provided in this document. This appears to be a standard construction project manual that covers procedures, requirements, and specifications for the roofing replacement work, rather than commercial terms and conditions.
