About this file
This is an Attachment A document from the Tennessee Department of Transportation that outlines the purchasing regions and counties of Tennessee, related to a statewide contract for ground maintenance equipment, UTVs, and ATVs. The document divides Tennessee into four distinct purchasing regions: Region 1 (East Tennessee) with 15 counties, Region 2 (East/Mid Tennessee) with 12 counties, Region 3 (Middle Tennessee) with 14 counties, and Region 4 (West Tennessee) with 11 counties. The document includes both a detailed listing of counties by region and a color-coded map showing the geographic boundaries of each region.
The regions are clearly delineated with Region 1 in orange (easternmost), Region 2 in blue, Region 3 in yellow, and Region 4 in green (westernmost). The map also shows the state's borders with neighboring states including Kentucky to the north, Virginia to the northeast, North Carolina to the east, Georgia to the southeast, Alabama to the south, Mississippi to the southwest, Arkansas to the west, and Missouri to the northwest. This regional division appears to be used for administrative and purchasing purposes by the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
