About this file

This is a Government Property Report template used for federal contracts involving the U.S. Coast Guard. The form requires contractors to document and account for all government property received during contract performance, including vessels and equipment.

The contractor must complete a six-column tracking chart throughout the contract performance period with assistance from the Government Property Administrator. Column 1 captures the type of property received with name, description, National Stock Number (NSN), and serial number. Column 2 records the property value, Column 3 documents the date received, and Column 4 notes the date installed or consumed. Column 5 requires the contractor to record the current location of property in their possession or provide disposition instructions for unused, serviceable, salvage, or scrap property. Column 6 documents the date disposition was carried out. The form defines three property categories: serviceable property (pre-existing property replaced during performance and returned to the Coast Guard), salvage (property with no serviceable value but value exceeding scrap value), and scrap (property with value only in basic material content). Both the Property Administrator and contractor must sign and date the completed report to certify all property has been accounted for through consumption or disposition instructions. The contractor must carry out all disposition instructions as directed and submit the completed report with the final invoice.
