About this file
This is a Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) attachment that outlines all property and equipment the Government will provide to the Contractor for performance of the Security Services EROS contract at a USGS facility. The equipment list is comprehensive and includes administrative supplies, forms, parking passes, PIV credentials, and background check coverage for new employees, with the Contractor responsible for replacement costs if credentials are lost or if employees fail background checks. The Government will also furnish building utilities, custodial services, telephone service, and internet access as required.
The technical equipment provided includes security infrastructure such as X-ray machines (two units for mail and visitor screening), magnetometers, a weapons container and ammunition storage in an armory, CCTV and alarm systems housed in a Security Control Center, and a radio communications antenna. Additionally, the Government will supply seven desktop/notebook computers with peripherals across various locations (SCC, backup, supervisor office, main lobby, guard shack, warehouse, and assistant office), four NOAA weather alert monitors, three multi-function devices, office furniture, storage lockers, training facilities, and a hardened guard shack at the main gate. The Contractor is responsible for accountability of all GFE and may request repairs, maintenance, and new purchases through the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). Any furniture upgrades or special equipment desired by the Contractor beyond standard Government-furnished items will be at the Contractor's expense with COR approval.
