About this file

This is a Darfur Contracting Act Certification form issued by the California Department of General Services, applicable to the California Arts Council's Request for Proposal for an Event Producer for the Council's 50th Anniversary Awards Ceremony. The certification applies to any company that has conducted business activities or operations outside the United States within the previous three years. Companies meeting this criterion must certify their eligibility to bid by completing one of two options: either certifying that they are not a scrutinized company under Public Contract Code Section 10476, or providing written permission from the Department of General Services if they are classified as a scrutinized company. The RFP seeks proposals from various entity types, including California independent contractors, sole proprietors, partnerships, certified small businesses, disabled veteran business enterprises, 501(c)(3) organizations, and private for-profit organizations based in California to manage and execute the 50th Anniversary Awards Ceremony.

The contract carries a budget of up to $90,000 and requires bidders to submit proposals to Procurement@arts.ca.gov by the stated deadline. The event producer will collaborate with the Council's Ad Hoc 50th Anniversary Committee Members, executive team, staff, and strategic partners to recognize the impact and legacy of the Council's founding members and significant contributors to California's cultural and civic life. Companies with international business operations must complete the required certification documentation as a prerequisite for bid submission. The California Arts Council strongly recommends that interested parties monitor the posting regularly for any changes, revisions, or additions that may be announced via addendum.
