About this file
This is a submittal requirements document for architect, design-build, and MACC contracts at 18 Wing properties, including Kadena Air Base and other military facilities in Okinawa, Japan. The document outlines detailed procedures for submitting facility design documentation.
The requirements specify that design submittals are required at schematic (35%), preliminary (65%), pre-final (95%), and final (100%) design stages. All designs must be submitted in English with proper translations of Japanese manufacturer information. The document details qualification requirements for various engineering disciplines, including architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, fire protection, and electrical roles. Submittal requirements include contractor's drawings, product literature, test reports, O&M manuals, certifications, and warranties. Documents must be submitted in Windows-compatible formats (Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD, PDF) with specific requirements for hard copies and electronic submissions on non-regionalized media. The Contractor's Quality Control System Manager and Designer of Record must check, approve, stamp, sign and date all submittals, with clear identification of any deviations from contract requirements.
