About this file
This is a Federal Wage Rates attachment for Request for Bid (RFB) 68-25 issued by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) for security camera systems installation services at three transit centers in Rockingham County. The attachment specifies that the project is subject to minimum wage determinations established by the U.S. Secretary of Labor, which must be posted at the work site and furnished to employees upon request. All wage determinations are incorporated into subcontract agreements. Contractors, subcontractors, and lower-tier contractors must submit a Request for Additional Work Classification(s) to the NHDOT Labor Compliance Office at (603) 271-2467 if they intend to employ labor classifications not listed in the wage determination, with submissions required 3-4 weeks before the classification is utilized. The contract is subject to the Work Hours Act of 1962 (P.L. 87-581) and its implementing regulations.
This attachment addresses federal wage compliance requirements for a federally-funded project. As a federal aid project, the security camera installation contract requires adherence to prevailing wage standards established by the U.S. Department of Labor. The document emphasizes contractor responsibility for ensuring compliance across all tiers of employment, including prime contractors, subcontractors, and lower-tier contractors. The wage determination requirements reflect the project's funding through federal transit administration resources, necessitating strict adherence to federal labor standards and documentation procedures throughout the contract term.
