About this file

This document is a Technical Approach attachment for a dumpster and refuse services contract for the 25th Infantry Division on Oahu. The attachment contains a series of detailed questions for potential contractors regarding their capability to provide dumpster and refuse services, including inquiries about in-house and subcontractor capabilities for dumpster sizes (10yd, 20yd, 30yd, 40yd), service trucks, daily service capacity, and ability to support 8-hour service requests. Contractors are asked to specify the number of dumpsters they can provide, service trucks available, daily servicing capacity, and provide a comprehensive subcontracting plan if they cannot fully support the requirements with in-house resources. The technical approach is designed to assess a contractor's readiness to meet the specific operational needs of the dumpster and refuse services contract.

Technical Approach – 25ID Dumpster and Refuse

Use the Attachment 2 – Example Task Order form to answer the questions below. A requirement similar in scope to the requirement in the Example Task Order form is likely needed shortly after award. Additionally, a requirement of similar size and scope is normally required on an annual basis.

1. Can your company support all requirements in the example task order?

2. How many dumpsters do you plan to provide using in-house capability (by size e.g. 10yd, 20yd, 30yd, 40yd)?

4. How many trucks do you plan to use with in-house capability to service dumpsters?

5. How many dumpsters could you service in one day using in-house capability?

If you do not have the in-house capability to support the example task order form, answer the following questions regarding your subcontracting plan to accomplish the requirement.

7. How much of the requirement do you plan to support in-house? How many dumpsters by size and amount of service trucks.

8. What is your subcontracting plan? Include your subcontractor company information, include the amount of dumpsters by size subcontracted, how many dumpsters (by size) each subcontractor is providing, the amount service trucks subcontracted, how many service trucks each subcontractor is providing, and/or any other information to display your understanding of the requirement and to display that your approach could support the requirement?

9. Can you support 8 hour service requests if they are requested at the task order? Of note, the order form enables the contractor to quote an additional cost for 8-hour servicing.

10. How many dumpsters can you service in one day using subcontractor and in-house capability?
