About this file
Attachment 3 is a comprehensive training list of automation tools for the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), detailing software and hardware tools that instructors may be required to support. The list includes 28 different tools categorized into training subject areas such as Internal AIS (Automated Information System), Microsoft applications, Collaboration Tools, and "Other" miscellaneous tools. Key software categories include Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.), patent-specific internal systems like PE2E-DAV and PE2E eDRS, web browsers, remote work tools, and collaboration platforms like Microsoft Teams and WebEx.
The document specifies that the list is not exhaustive and that contract training staff may need to support additional software/hardware tools as agency needs evolve. Tools span various functional areas including document management (Adobe Acrobat), patent application workflow (IFW, PE2E Search), classification systems (CPC Scheme Navigator), telework enablement (Remote Desktop Connection), and general productivity software. The training support covers classroom/virtual instruction, material development, one-on-one assistance, and other support mechanisms across these diverse technological platforms used by USPTO personnel.
