About this file

This document is a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a Hot Aisle Containment (HAC) system installation. The key requirements include:

Purchase, deliver, and install sixteen (16) seismic compliant IT cabinet racks in two HAC configurations, with each HAC having two rows of four cabinets. The racks must be equipped with various hardware such as brush grommet rail kits, copper bus bars, cable management, blanking panels, remote PDUs, temperature sensors, and more. The HAC must also include containment doors with biometric locks, LED lighting, and thermal breakaway curtains. Additional requirements include installing new floor tiles, adjustable floor vents, and conducting pre- and post-installation airflow and temperature measurements.

The RFP provides background on the benefits of hot aisle/cold aisle data center layouts. It is a non-military unique requirement, and the agency is the Department of the Air Force Space Command. All questions are due by September 17, 2024, and there is no scheduled site visit at this time. Qualified contractors must have experience with data center installations and hot aisle containment systems.
