Sixteen Server Racks

Schriever Space Force Base

3 September 2024

UNCLASSIFIED

1. SCOPE

1.1. Introduction. This Statement of Work (SOW) describes the requirements for the purchase and installation of sixteen (16) Information Technology (IT) cabinet racks and supporting equipment in a hot aisle containment configuration. This installation is intended to serve as a model for how future IT cabinet racks are to be installed to increase resiliency through energy efficient airflow management practices and to enable optimal Heating, Ventilation, and Cooling (HVAC) operations.

The total Period of Performance is 90 days from Notice-To-Proceed. Requests to alter these time limits shall be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer at least ten (10) working days in advance.

1.2. Background. Building 400 on Schriever Space Force Base is divided into many separate modules (mods) to provide housing for IT equipment. Most of the equipment in building 400 was not installed to optimize energy efficiency nor to accommodate resilient operations. The goal of this project is to demonstrate proper hot aisle containment configuration that enables optimal HVAC operations and increases operations resiliency throughout building 400 and others throughout the Space Force.
