About this file
This document is a Bid Form for a timber sale issued by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department (OPRD) for the Saddle Mountain State Natural Area Forest Health Management and Hazard Tree Mitigation project located in Seaside, Oregon. The project involves the removal of timber, including saw logs and pulp, with an estimated total timber volume detailed in Attachment 5 (Sale Appraisal). Bidders are required to provide comprehensive pricing that includes all project work and logging costs, with bids remaining valid for 30 days from the bid closing date.
The bid form outlines a structured pricing approach where bidders must calculate and submit values for saw logs and pulp, as well as estimated operational costs. The estimated combined timber value is $234,698.01, with estimated operational costs of $320,457.90. OPRD will award the contract to the bidder that best serves their interests, considering not only price but also factors such as experience, expertise, product functionality, and contractor responsibility. Notably, if the total bid price is negative, the agency will pay the bidder the bid amount, providing flexibility in the bidding process.
