About this file
This document contains the results of asbestos and lead surveys conducted across multiple buildings on a federal campus. It identifies the locations and estimated quantities of various asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) and lead-based paint (LBP) found in each building. The ACMs reported include pipe and duct insulation, floor tiles and mastic, ceiling materials, window caulking and others. Lead was also detected in numerous materials including ceramic tiles, metal components, paint and others. The solicitation provides for construction work at the campus under contract number 36C77624B0007 to the Department of Veterans Affairs Technology Acquisition Center Austin. The survey results will need to be considered during renovation of the identified buildings to ensure appropriate abatement, containment, disposal and worker safety procedures are followed for any impacted materials.

Building 34: (This building is listed in the SOW but not in the X-matrix)
No records of asbestos or lead surveys were provided. Therefore, all suspect materials must be considered as ACM and/or LBP until an inspection occurs and bulk sample analysis or XRF readings prove otherwise. It is also possible for documentation to the contrary be presented, if it exists and can be located, to evidence the materials are not ACM or LBP.
