SCOPE OF WORK
FIRE SUPPRESSION, FIRE ALARM, AND BACKFLOW PREVENTION SYSTEMS INSPECTION, TESTING, & REPAIR
MOUNT RAINIER NATIONAL PARK
I. GENERAL
Mount Rainier National Park (MORA) is a high-elevation National Park in Washington State characterized by mountainous terrain, severe winter weather conditions, and limited year-round access routes. Primary access to developed areas is provided via state highways and park roads that may be subject to seasonal restrictions, snow removal operations, and temporary closures.
The Longmire Historic District is a primary year-round operational area of Mount Rainier National Park and serves as a central hub for administrative offices, employee housing, visitor facilities, maintenance shops, and mission-critical operations, including emergency response and communications. Facilities within the Longmire area include a mix of historic and non-historic structures, many of which remain occupied throughout the winter season.
Work under this contract will primarily occur within the Longmire area and may require coordination with ongoing park operations, snow removal activities, limited parking, and controlled access routes.
Winter conditions may include snow-covered roads, reduced daylight hours, and restricted vehicle access.
The Contractor shall coordinate all work activities with the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) to account for site-specific access requirements, safety considerations, and operational constraints.

Contracting Officer (ACO). All work shall be performed in accordance with this Scope of Work, applicable National Park Service policies, and referenced codes and standards.
The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, travel, parts, and materials necessary to inspect and test fire suppression systems, fire alarm systems, and backflow prevention devices within Park buildings and residences.
