About this file
This document provides the technical specifications for the construction of a new mental health building and surface parking lot at the Alaska VA Healthcare System and Regional Office Building in Anchorage, Alaska. The project includes site work such as clearing, grading, paving, fencing and lighting for the new parking area, as well as construction of a new two-story addition to the existing medical clinic building. Key requirements include structural steel framing, metal stud exterior walls, suspended ceilings, various floor and wall finishes, mechanical and electrical systems, fire protection, and landscaping. The specifications establish construction methods and quality standards. Bidding will be through a single lump sum contract, with unit pricing also required for potential additional work.
