Site Visit Instructions – 629-18-140 Auto-Operators Showers and Faucets SLVHCS, New Orleans LA 70119
A site visit is being conducted for the following requirement. The date/times for this site visit was chosen at random and is solely based on site availability and the availability of the facility personnel who will be conducting the site visit. It is highly encouraged that all eligible offerors attend this site visit. Due to COVID-19, only one attendee from the Prime SDVOSB is being allowed for the actual site visit conducted by the VA, no subcontractors, unless the Prime is unable to attend. All will be required to go through the screening checkpoint. Police Services will direct you when you come on the VA campus. IF YOU ARE ILL/SICK PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND.
Scope: This site visit is for viewing purposes only and is intended to give potential offerors a “first-hand” look of the inside of the building location included in the project. Attendees will not be permitted to touch, handle, operate, use, maintain, or service any of the equipment referenced in the solicitation. Photography is permitted during the site visit; however, pictures and video are to be limited and may be taken when informed and approved by VA staff for inside locations shown only. Photos and videos should not be taken of Veterans or VA staff. Training will not be provided or conducted during the site visit. Contractors will also not be given instructions, recommendations, or guidance for this procurement. During the course/conduct of the site visit vendor questions will not be answered or addressed. However, contractors will still have an opportunity to submit questions or other inquires that are related to (or arise from) the site visit that is conducted using Exhibit F. The terms and conditions of this solicitation, to include Statement of Work requirements, shall remain the same despite an offeror’s inability or unwillingness to attend this site visit when scheduled. An alternate site visit date or an additional site visit opportunity shall also not be provided to offerors who can’t or who don’t attend the single site visit that is planned for this requirement. Minutes, records, or proceedings to include “I couldn’t attend, what did I miss?” type of information shall also not be provided to any offeror once the site visit has been concluded.
Date: A site visit will be conducted on 09 February 2021. One-time occurrence. SDVOSB’s must have received a confirmation from the Contracting Officer with their time slot to attend; no exceptions.
Location: The location of the site visit is as follows: Southeast Louisiana VA Health Care System, 2400 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70119.
Time: The site visit will begin 10:00 AM CST on 09 February 2021.
Duration: The site visit for is expected to last no more than 60 - 90 minutes.
Contractor Meeting Point: On the day of the site visit contractors shall, after parking and going through the VA screening process, wait in the first-floor elevator lobby for VA staff to escort you.
Parking: Site visit attendees may park in the Visitor parking lot located at 321 South Galvez Street (see the map below). Two days prior to the site visit, each attendee will provide the his/her name and company name so Police Services can let the gate attendant know that parking in this lot will be authorized. On the day of the site visit, attendees will park in the parking garage, take the elevators to the first-floor lobby, then go through the COVID screening station. Attendees should allow themselves 30 minutes to go through the process of parking and screening. All attendees will wait in the elevator lobby for VA staff to escort you.
Site Access (Contractor Responsibilities): Access to the medical facility building being shown is restricted and is only open to authorized personnel; the grounds are not. As the medical facility is not a public building with open and unrestricted access.
Uniform/MASKS: The site visit will be conducted in a medical setting. Business casual dress is recommended. ALL ATTENDEES MUST BRING THEIR OWN AND WEAR A MASK THAT MEETS CDC GUIDELINES and bring hand sanitizer. While it is not anticipated that attendees will “get dirty” during their participation in the site visit, appropriate attire should be chosen for a hospital setting. As the site visit will involve walking to numerous buildings at the facility to include elevator and/or stairs, it is recommended that comfortable (but appropriate) shoes be worn and that site visit attendances be physically able to walk for a 60 to 90 minute period (i.e. the site visit duration). Special accommodations shall not be made for attendees who have restrictions or complications relating to mobility/walking to/from the various site visit locations.
