About this file
Dozer Technical Specifications Summary
This is a Technical Specifications document for the County of Sacramento, Department of Waste Management & Recycling, detailing requirements for Tractor Dozers to be procured through full-service operating leases for use at the Sacramento County Kiefer Landfill. The equipment specifications establish comprehensive technical requirements for two (2) Tractor Dozers that will operate in a demanding landfill environment, potentially up to seven days per week, fifty-two weeks per year. The specifications address critical operational parameters including engine performance, hydraulic systems, undercarriage specifications, safety features, and operational capabilities necessary for effective landfill compaction and material handling operations.
The technical specifications encompass detailed equipment performance standards, including minimum horsepower requirements, operating weights, blade configurations, and transmission specifications to ensure the dozers can effectively perform landfill operations under the County's intensive use schedule. The document establishes baseline equipment condition requirements, operational safety standards, and performance metrics that prospective lessors must meet or exceed in their equipment offerings. These specifications serve as the evaluation criteria for determining whether proposed equipment meets the County's operational needs for landfill management activities and ensure that all submitted equipment proposals are capable of functioning reliably in the harsh, high-utilization environment characteristic of modern landfill operations.
