Task Statement of Work

(TSOW)

Custom Development Support

Task Reference: TSOW 13 (previous contract Task 16)

Type: Labor Hours

1.0 Introduction and Overview

The Enterprise Services Center (ESC) is a designated shared service provider committed to helping customers receive quality products and services to accomplish their mission objectives. Regardless of the size of an organization or agency, benefits are gained by taking advantage of volume pricing discounts from vendors based on the size of ESC's inventory. ESC supports US Department of Transportation (DOT) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and other governmental agencies.

2.0 Background

ESC’s Information & Digital Services (I&DS) provides a wide array of platforms to manage information. I&DS offers support in numerous areas: Applications Services, Customer Support Services (Service Desk), Managed Digital Services, Cybersecurity Services, Media Solutions, Office Automation Support, Project Management Office, National Wireless Program, and Network/Telecommunication Services. I&DS provides Information and Digital Service life cycle management in support of the ESC service portfolio, to include support to financial, cybersecurity and all aspects of technology and media services. The activities augment and amplify the business processes of local and national federal missions at departmental and agency levels supported by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Shared Service Provider (SSP) and General Services Administration (GSA) designations that the ESC maintains.

The Custom Development Services provides software application implementation support of Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) or Government Off The Shelf (GOTS) Solutions. They follow the International Organization for Standardization (ISO 9000), and software life cycle methodology to develop based on the context of the work using predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches for system design. Custom Development Services supports approximately fifty (50+) applications for Financial, Strategic, Mission, Acquisition, and Administrate Programs.

Many times, off-the-shelf applications are not suitable for just any business need. The IT Specialists in Information & Digital Services design, develop, and implement a reliable software solution that works well for most system requirements and infrastructure, regardless of the size. Information & Digital Services specializes in delivering business agility and efficiency by providing innovative application solutions for Financial, Strategic, Mission, Acquisition, and Administrative Programs.
