About this file
The document presents COVID-19 guidelines for the Hines VA hospital campus, detailing comprehensive protocols for controlling virus transmission across all buildings and Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs). Key requirements include mandatory mask wearing, mandatory PIV card possession for contractors, and a structured screening process at four main entry points where individuals have their temperature checked and receive a daily screening sticker.
The guidelines also specify strict campus access controls, with all doors closing at 4:30 PM except the Emergency Department and main lobby of Building 200. After this time, re-entry is limited to those two locations. The document emphasizes security measures, warning that propping open doors or allowing unscreened individuals to enter will result in immediate removal and potential penalties. The accompanying campus map highlights the four COVID-19 screening points: the main lobby of Building 200, the Atrium near Building 45, the C-Section east entrance to Building 1, and the main lobby of Building 217.
