About this file

This document is a Bid Bond form issued by the State of Colorado's Office of the State Architect for the Colorado Department of Transportation, specifically for the Arapahoe Basin Tank Installation project (Project No. 28214). The bid bond serves as a proposal guaranty, requiring the principal (bidder) to maintain their proposal for 30 days after proposal opening and commit to executing the required agreement, performance bond, labor and material payment bond, and insurance documents if their bid is accepted.

The bid bond mandates that the principal provide a financial guarantee of 5% of their total bid price, which would be forfeited as liquidated damages if the bidder fails to meet their contractual obligations. The document emphasizes that failure to provide a properly executed bid bond with an accompanying power of attorney will result in the bidder's proposal being deemed non-responsive. The form is designed to protect the state's interests by ensuring bidder commitment and financial accountability for the Arapahoe Basin Tank Installation project located near Loveland Pass.
