About this file
This document is Addendum #1 for the Arapahoe Basin Tank Installation project issued by the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), Project No. 28214, dated 03/12/2025. The addendum provides critical bidding information, including electronic bid submission requirements through CDOT's Procurement Website (BidNet) with electronic bids due on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at 2:00 PM. The final day for submitting questions is Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at noon, with all questions to be directed to Robert Wilson via email. The project involves tank installation at a CDOT site, with CDOT handling tank pumping prior to construction and maintaining site access during the project. The contractor will be responsible for coordinating site work, maintaining a single lane of access, and protecting materials and work areas.
The addendum includes several key specifications: no municipal building permit is required, with CDOT's contracted Code Reviewer handling inspections; state prevailing wages apply, and contractors must submit an Appendix E – Contractor Wage Compliance Form with each pay application; and liquidated damages are set at $875.00 per day. Contractors are permitted to suggest alternative tank sizes or specifications, with CDOT reviewing and potentially approving alternatives in a subsequent addendum. No pollution insurance is required for this contract. The project will begin after CDOT's winter operations are complete, with the site remaining an active CDOT location during the summer. Additional technical details regarding flow fill, tank abandonment, dewatering permits, and rock excavation specifications are noted to be addressed in Addendum #2.
