About this file
This is a Sample Direct Labor Burden Calculation document for the 7th Street Garage High-Priority Structural Repair project (AHEC-27705-B) in Colorado. The document provides a template for calculating direct labor costs associated with the garage repair work, demonstrating how hourly labor rates should be applied to estimated labor hours to determine burden costs. The calculation methodology outlined in this appendix serves as a reference guide for bidders to prepare accurate cost proposals for the structural repair project, ensuring consistent and transparent labor cost estimation across all submitted bids.
The sample calculation illustrates the breakdown of direct labor expenses, including the application of burden rates to base hourly wages for various labor classifications. This appendix is intended to assist contractors in understanding the cost structure expectations and in developing compliant pricing proposals that align with the project's budgeting requirements. The document establishes a standardized approach for bidders to follow when submitting their labor cost components, promoting uniformity in proposal evaluation and reducing discrepancies in how different contractors calculate labor-related expenses for the 7th Street Garage repair work.
