Solicitation: AG-52B1-S-15-0007 Vegetation Management at the Mark Twain National Forest
Amendment 10:
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS:
1. QUESTION: What is the new answer to this question? Now there are no line items greater than 250 acres, so I’m wondering where this answer came from in the first place. It also looks like a 30 acre task order is most certainly a possibility, where as earlier it would have been 250-500 acres. What is the average size of a TSI project, or an herbicide project? I know that $3,000 is the limit, but with travel expenses there is a huge difference between a 30 acre project and a 100 acre project. RESPONSE: A typical task order for TSI with stump treatment for a district would be in the 250 to 500 acre size. Our total annual TSI program forest-wide (with or without herbicide) is usually around 2000 acres.
RESPONSE: $3,000 is the lowest value at which a task order will be issued under contracts resulting from this solicitation (Reference FAR clause 52.216-19—Order Limitations (OCT 1995)). In accordance with FAR 16.503, estimated quantities are not a representation to an offeror or contractor that the estimated quantity will be required or ordered, or that conditions affecting requirements will be stable or normal.
In order to speak to all the sub-items under any given task (there are 9 sub-items for restoration) the estimated quantities were spread across all the items. A typical task order for a district will still be in the general acreage as previously stated, but may include more than one sub-item for the total acreage. EXAMPLE: 4.1.3 - 75 acres;
4.5.3 - 75 acres; 4.5.4 - 100 acres for Doniphan/11 point.
