Tollgate Rec. Center: Truss Repair/replacement & Re-roofing Project Walla Walla Ranger District, Umatilla National Forest, Project Description

Project includes

1. complete removal and legal disposal of all roofing materials including metal flashing, felt underlayment;

2. repair or replacement of trusses damaged by snow load, and

3. installation of new roofing material – Type METAL - including flashing, valley protection and ridgecaps, and felt underlayment and sheathing.

Work includes, but is not limited to, removal and legal disposal of all roofing material, removal and disposal of trusses identified for full replacement, repair or replacement of damaged trusses, and installation of new roofing including new sheathing, and felt, flashing, vent protection, and ridgecaps.

Immediately report to the Contracting Officer any structural materials that is structurally unsound. Note: Replacement and/or repair of roof trusses will be determined after removal of existing roof.

Potable water and electricity are available on site.

Work Restrictions: Mandatory start work by June 1, 2009. Completion date of June 30, 2009. Building will not be occupied.

The structure must be protected from moisture damage at all times.

All work will be accomplished in accordance with attached Construction Specifications, 2006 International Building Code, and 2007 Oregon Structural Specialty Code.

Project Location

Directions from Pendleton: Proceed north on State Highway 11 (towards Milton-Freewater) for approximately 20 miles. At the Weston junction, take State Highway 204 towards Tollgate/Elgin for approximately 20 miles to Forest Road 64. Turn onto Forest Road 64 and proceed for approximately 500 feet and turn left into the Tollgate Information Center parking area and access road.

Proceed through gate to Tollgate Rec. Center, the last building on the left.

Ukiah Warehouse Roof Replacement North Fork Ranger District, Umatilla National Forest,

1. complete removal and legal off-site disposal of all roofing materials including but not limited to shingles, metal flashing and felt underlayment.

2. installation of new roofing material – TYPE CEDAR SHINGLES - including flashing, valley protection ridgecaps, and felt underlayment.

Work includes, but is not limited to, removal and legal disposal of all roofing material and installation of new roofing including felt, flashing, vent protection, and ridgecaps.

Immediately report to the Contracting Officer any structural materials that are structurally unsound.

Potable water and electricity are available on site.

Work Restrictions: Government employees will be working in the Compound during the day.

Contractor shall post warning signs.

The structure must be protected from moisture damage at all times.

All work will be accomplished in accordance with attached Construction Specifications, 2006 International Building Code, and 2007 Oregon Structural Specialty Code.

Project Location

Proceed south on State Highway 395 (towards John Day) for approximately 50 miles to junction State Highway 244; Turn onto State Highway 244 and proceed one mile to Ukiah, OR and North Fork John Day Ranger District office. Turn left off Highway 244 into District office parking lot.

Warehouse and Tree Cooler are located up the hill behind the main office.

Ukiah Tree Cooler Roof Replacement North Fork Ranger District, Umatilla National Forest,

1. complete removal and legal disposal of all roofing materials including but not limited to, shingles, metal flashing, and felt underlayment.

2. installation of new roofing material - TYPE LAMINATED STRIP SHINGLES -including flashing, valley protection, ridgecaps, and felt underlayment.

Work includes, but is not limited to, removal and legal disposal of all roofing material, installation of new roofing, felt, flashing, vent protection, and ridgecaps.

Immediately report to the Contracting Officer any structural materials that are structurally unsound.

Potable water and electricity are available on site.

Godman Cabin Roofing project Pomeroy Ranger District , Umatilla National Forest, Project Description

Project includes

1. complete removal and legal disposal of all roofing materials on designated half of the roof including but not limited to, shingles, metal flashing, and felt underlayment.

2. installation of new roofing material on half of the roof– TYPE CEDAR SHINGLES -including flashing, valley protection ridgecaps, and felt underlayment.

Work includes, but is not limited to, removal and legal disposal of all roofing material, and installation of new roofing, felt, flashing, vent protection, and ridgecaps.

Immediately report to the Contracting Officer any structural materials that are structurally unsound.

Building will be unoccupied during Contractor work.

The structure must be protected from moisture damage at all times.

All work will be accomplished in accordance with attached Construction Specifications, 2006 International Building Code, and 2007 Oregon Structural Specialty Code.

Project Location

Directions from Dayton, WA: Enter Dayton WA northbound via State Highway 12;

turn right (as if you are going to Bluewood Ski area); in approximately

0.5 miles turn left onto Ekler Mountain Road (County road 9124).

Proceed approximately 10 miles to junction County Road 1424 and 1931. Continue on County Road 1424 (Skyline Road) to Forest Boundary 2.5 miles ahead. Continue on Forest Road 46 Kendall- Skyline Road for approximately 10 miles to Godman Guard Station.

Long Meadows Guard Station Roof Replacment Walla Walla Ranger District, Umatilla National Forest

Project Description:

1. complete removal and legal disposal of all roofing materials including metal flashing, felt underlayment;

2. installation of new roof TYPE METAL - Government-furnish metal roofing panels. Contractor required to fasteners and all other materials to complete project including flashing, valley protection and ridgecaps, and felt underlayment.

Work includes, but is not limited to, removal and legal disposal of all roofing material, installation of new roofing including, felt, flashing, vent protection, and ridgecaps.

Immediately report to the Contracting Officer any structural materials that are structurally unsound.

Potable water is available on site.

Work Restrictions: Building will be unoccupied during Contractor work.. Mandatory performance period: June 15th – July 1st.

The structure must be protected from moisture damage at all times.

All work will be accomplished in accordance with attached Construction Specifications, 2006 International Building Code, and 2007 Oregon Structural Specialty Code.

Directions from Pendleton: Proceed north on State Highway 11 (towards Milton-Freewater) for approximately 20 miles. TO PENDLETON

Radio Shop Roofing Project Umatilla National Forest

1. complete removal and legal disposal of all roofing materials including metal flashing, felt underlayment;

2. installation of new roofing material – TYPE: CEDAR SHINGLES (Government Furnished). Government Furnished material is shingles only. Contractor to supply all other materials including flashing, valley protection and ridgecaps, and felt underlayment.

Work includes, but is not limited to, removal and legal disposal of all roofing material, installation of new roofing including felt, flashing, vent protection, and ridgecaps.

Immediately report to the Contracting Officer any structural materials that are structurally unsound.

Potable water and electricity are available on site.

Work Restrictions: Government employees will be working in the building. Compound is locked from 6 pm to 6 am each evening. Work hours limited to 6:00 am - 6:00 pm Monday through Friday.

The structure must be protected from moisture damage at all times.

All work will be accomplished in accordance with attached Construction Specifications, 2006 International Building Code, and 2007 Oregon Structural Specialty Code.

Project Location

Directions from Pendleton: From I- 84 Exit 210 (near Red Lion Motel) proceed north on Hwy 11 to stop light at Court Street. Proceed ahead through the stop light; onto Court Place; road curves slightly to the right.

Proceed two blocks to 12th Street;

turn left and proceed ahead one block to Byers Street. Turn right onto Byers; proceed ahead past Washington Elementary School.

Umatilla National Forest Warehouse Compound is first left past the school yard. Note: Compound is gated and locked weekends and after 6 pm on weekdays.
