Amendment 7 Questions & Answers

RFI # Question Response

115 Sheet- E1.1 Phase 1- Electrical Site Plan, Key Note # 6 dictates conduits that are to be installed for future work to be performed in later phases. It states “Stub the following out of the building for future trench to office in Phase 3: (1) 1” C.O.

fire alarm (2) 2” C.O. Fiber, (1) 2” C.O. Copper, (4) 3” C.O. Electrical Service, (3) 4” C.O. Spare, See trench detail on sheet

E9.2”. First off, the conduit quantities shown on the trench detail do not match the indicated conduits in the keynote quantities listed above. Then the keynote goes on to indicate “Provide 24’X36” box. Stub electrical service and (2) spares to this location” What (2) spares are being referred to here? There is no quantity of (2) spares listed in keynotes. What sizing are these conduits and where do these spares originate? The Keynote continues with, “Provide 2nd 24”X36” Box, stub all signaling, controlling, security, and (1) spare to this location”. There are no quantities, sizing or points of origination provided for the later set of conduits indicated. So basically, please clarify: What conduits exactly are to be extended from the building for future use? How many conduits? What sizing? From what destination are they to extend from? And to where are they to be terminated?

For quantities, follow Trench Detail 14 on sheet E9.2. Change quantities and sizes to: (1) 1” C.O. fire alarm (2) 2” C.O. Fiber, (1) 2” C.O. Copper, (3) 3-1/2”

C.O. Electrical Service, (3) 3-1/2” C.O. Spare. Provide (2) 24"x36" boxes at locations shown on E1.1. Separate service conduits from other conduits as shown in trench detail. Route conduits between boxes and building locations shown on E1.1. These conduits will be extended from provided boxes and used in a later phase.

116 Sheet- E1.1 Phase 1- Electrical Site Plan- Note on plan at main gate area states “POWER FOR DRIVEWAY HEAT TAPE

INSTALLED UNDER GATE AND GATE TRACK HEAT TAPE.” Is this only to be power for future heat tape, provided by others at a later date? There is no heat tape shown or heat tape quantities or details provided? Who provides heat tape? What is to be provided? What quantity is required? Where and how is it to be installed exactly? Please clarify.

Provide circuit to junction box as shown. Remove heat tape notes from drawings.

117 Sheet- E1.1 Phase 1- Electrical Site Plan-The same plan note referenced above in Item #2, also says “ROUTE TO HEAT

TRACE CONTROLS IN WAREHOUSE.” There are no heat trace controls shown anywhere on the plans that I can see? Where is this power being routed? What controls are we to provide? Please Clarify.

Provide junction box with circuits from Panel M1 as shown on sheet E1.1.

Remove heat tape notes from drawings.

118 Sheet CD1.1-Phase 1 Site Demo plan note to “REMOVE/RELOCATE NURSERY GATE POWER, COMMUNICATIONS, CARD

READERS, MAILBOX AND LIGHT POLE”. Where are these items being powered from and or extending from currently?

Where are they to be powered from at new location? Are we to reuse existing circuitry? Please clarify.

Contractor is responsible to field verify. All power is fed from Nursery Road.

Reuse existing power and communications in new location. Extend conduit and wire as required.

119 Window schedule note #1 on A9.0 says for blast-resistant window film to meet USFS Level II Security Requirements.

These requirements were not found, can you please clarify what these requirements are?

Reference GSA Standard test Method for Glazing and Window Systems

Subject to Dynamic Overpressure Loadings. Security Window Film – A thin material, usually a polyester composite, that is applied to a glass surface for the purpose of controlling failure. Security window film, in the context of mitigating hazards from blast, is normally 7-mil

(7/1000 in.) thick or thicker. Performance Criteria 3b, Fragments enter space and land on floor no further that 3.3 ft from the window. Window systems shall be certified as prescribed by WINGARD PE 4.3 or later.

120 For a follow up on RFI answers 97: Doors 122A.1 & 122B.1 were not added to the phase 2 door schedule on A9.1. Please include.

Door 122A.1 & 122B.1: Type A, 3'-0" x 7'-0", thickness: 1.75", insul. Galv. HM, frame type A, frame material HM

121 Please specify an acoustical ceiling tile. 095113-2.2.A refers to ACT-1 on the finish schedule. ACT-1 on A9.0 schedule lists a

USG Donn Brand DX/DXL, which is the suspension system. Which ceiling tile are we to use?

Basis of Design: Armstrong Ultima, color white, thickness 3/4". This will match the specified Phase 3 ceiling tile.

122 Sheet E9.1 - Phase 1 - Automatic Transfer Switch. Drawings say "Closed Transition" and Specs say "Delayed Transition".

Which one is it?

Change drawings and specs to say "delayed transition transfer switch".

123 Monument sign detail 7, calls out for HDPE laminated plastic – laminated to what and what thickness is the final panel? Is there a source for this product? Is the ¼” and 1/8” described as the lettering, the stroke width?

The thickness of the sign is 3/4" thick and the laminated HDPE is composed of a 1/2 inch "Yellow-Cream Core" and 1/8 inch "Brown" top and bottom layers.

(The routing depth can be amended per Manufacturers Recommendations but is not to exceed 1/4") A possible source is https://www.woodproductsigns.com/. An updated sign support frame is attached with amendment 7.

124 Federal colors “Brown” and “Yellow-Cream” do not appear to be available in recycled HDPE plastic. Is there a source of this plastic that comes in the specified colors?

See source listed in item # 124.

125 Where on the drawings will I find the item referenced in 111323 Portable Dock Equipment? The Dock Lift concrete pad shall be constructed in Phase 1, see sheet C1.3.

The Portable Dock Equipment shall be installed in Phase 2, see sheet E1.3.

Move the Portable Dock Equipment specification 111323 to the Phase 2

Specifications.
