About this file
This is an addendum to a Request for Proposals issued by the City of Fairburn, Georgia for Design-Bid-Build architectural and engineering services related to Fire Station 23 located at 5650 Milam Road, Fairburn, Georgia 30213. The City of Fairburn is seeking competitive sealed proposals for the design of the fire station facility. Interested offerors must submit proposals by September 9, 2022 at 3:00 PM EST. An optional pre-proposal meeting is scheduled for August 23, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Fairburn City Hall, 56 Malone Street, Fairburn, Georgia 30213, with attendance to be recorded. A site visit is scheduled for August 23, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Fire Station 23, 5650 Milam Road, Fairburn, Georgia 30213. A sign-in list for the site visit will be available to interested parties.
The addendum clarifies that having licensed architects and engineers on staff is preferred but not a mandatory requirement for proposal submission. For services provided in-house, firms should have licensed personnel in those disciplines; for services provided by subconsultants, the subconsultant firms should have licensed personnel on staff in their respective disciplines. All proposed personnel must be submitted with the proposal, including qualifications, experience, and licensing information. The City will not provide a proposed building design for review, as the intent of the RFP is for the successful offeror to design the building in accordance with specifications detailed in the scope of work. The proposal due date cannot be extended, and responses to RFP questions will be shared with interested parties.
