DATE: July 23, 2022

SUBJECT: COVID-19 Protocol Update

As the number of COVID-19 cases in Fulton County and across the state continue to rise, the City Administrator’s Office has decided to adjust the City’s COVID-19 plan. Additionally, within the last week we have had a surge in positive COVID-19 cases amongst City employees. In order to mitigate and prevent the spread of COVID-19, the following protocol will be implemented effective Monday, July 25, 2022, and will be adjusted based on data provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and guidance from Public Health officials.

COVID-19 Protocol Updates

• All employees and visitors entering City facilities must have their temperature checked utilizing the temperature kiosks.

o Employees: Should a temperature check reflect a degree higher above normal; the employee must report the temperature to their immediate supervisor and Director of Human Resources. Employees will be required to provide a negative COVID-19 test or medical documentation from a provider indicating their return-to-work status.

o Visitors: Visitors will be asked to exit the facility and may return when they are fever free.

• Masks are required to be worn by all employees and visitors entering City facilities.

• Masks are required in all communal areas to include hallways, meetings rooms, break rooms and spaces shared by employees and visitors.

• Masks are required when participating in face-to-face meetings. If possible, schedule meetings virtually either via Teams or Zoom.

• Employees that are experiencing symptoms (i.e., cough, fatigue, runny nose, headache, muscle ache, etc.) are asked to STAY HOME and notify their supervisor and the Human Resources Director immediately.

• High traffic areas and personal spaces should be sanitized frequently during the day to prevent and mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

• Hand sanitizer stations will remain in all high traffic areas.
