About this file

This is Addendum 4 to the Request for Proposals for Design-Bid-Build Architectural and Engineering Services issued by the City of Fairburn, Georgia for Fire Station 23 located at 5650 Milam Road, Fairburn, Georgia 30213 (RFP #22-015). The City of Fairburn is seeking competitive sealed proposals for architectural and engineering design services for the fire station project. The optional pre-proposal meeting and mandatory site visit are scheduled for August 23, 2022, with the pre-proposal meeting at 10:00 AM at Fairburn City Hall (56 Malone Street) and the site visit at 10:30 AM at Fire Station #23. Sealed proposals are due by September 9, 2022, at 3:00 PM EST. The addendum clarifies that there is no proposed building design available for review; the successful offeror will design the building according to specifications detailed in the scope of work. A sign-in list from the site visit is available upon request.

The addendum addresses four inquiries from potential offerors regarding the proposal requirements. The City clarified that having licensed architects and engineers on staff is preferred, not required; however, firms should have licensed personnel in the disciplines they provide in-house, and subconsultants providing services must have licensed personnel on staff in their respective disciplines. All proposed personnel must be submitted with qualifications, experience, and licensing information. The City denied the request to extend the proposal due date and confirmed that responses to all RFP questions will be shared with interested parties. No specific pricing, funding amounts, or set-aside information is detailed in this addendum.

As stated in the RFP all proposed personnel shall submitted with the proposal, including their qualifications, experience, licensing, etc...

Response: Yes.

1. Can the due date be extended?

Response: There is no proposed design to review.

The intent of the proposal is to allow the successful offeror to design the building according to the specifications detailed in the scope of work.
