About this file

This addendum addresses a clarification regarding equipment procurement for the Trimble GPS and Laser Range Finder contract solicitation (U00R6600108/eMMA #: BPM055018) issued by the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE). The solicitation seeks equipment, digital products, and support services from an authorized Trimble Geospatial Partner Bidder. The addendum specifically addresses a vendor requirement constraint regarding the Pelican 1450 Case Yellow with Foam (Part number: 1450-000-240), which the vendor requires purchasing in a minimum quantity of four units.

In response to this vendor constraint, the procurement authority has directed bidders to provide pricing for two cases only, as originally specified in the solicitation, with the understanding that bidders may determine their own approach to the vendor's minimum purchase requirement. The agency explicitly stated it cannot increase the quantity to four cases due to inability to justify the additional need in a FEMA audit, indicating that funding constraints and audit compliance requirements restrict the procurement scope to the originally requested quantity of two units.

ADDENDUM #1:

TRIMBLE GPS AND LASER RANGE FINDER CONTRACT

SOLICITATION #: U00R6600108 /eMMA #: BPM055018

Q&A:

Question: You requested Pelican 1450 Case Yellow w/ Foam, Part number: 1450-000-240, Quantity 2, but the vendor has a requirement that you need to purchase a minimum of 4 quantities for this item, otherwise we cannot purchase it. What should we do about this? Please guide.

Answer: Bidders should provide a cost for two (2) cases. It’s up to them what they do with the other two (2) cases. I don’t think we can increase the quantity to four (4) because we can’t justify that need in a FEMA audit.
