Summary

This is Addendum #03 to an Invitation for Bid issued by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation for a complete roof system installation at the California Institution for Men in Chino, California. The solicitation (FPCM-CIM-I-001123-M001-SW) involves a product-only purchase for Buildings Roof Assembly at Facility B, Unit 2. A mandatory walk-through inspection was conducted on August 20, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at the facility. Bids were required to be submitted by 2:00 p.m. on September 24, 2025, and delivered to the Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation Procurement Support either electronically or by courier to the Sacramento office address provided. The project scope requires bidders to provide fabricated sheet metal products including copings, PVC clad metal, and counter flashings, along with a complete roof system meeting specifications outlined in the Invitation for Bid attachments.

Addendum #03 provides responses to ten vendor questions and clarifications regarding technical specifications, including confirmation that the roof system includes a 10-year warranty and that expansion joints are 2 inches by 4 inches per plan details. The addendum clarifies that existing roof conditions at Unit 2 consist of 1 inch of insulation over a concrete deck with no pre-existing wood planking, and addresses specifications for vertical expansion joints and fire-rated requirements.
