About this file
This is Addendum #1 to a request for quote (ARFQ) issued by the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for solicitation number DEP2200000009 regarding the Peeltree Road Portals Project. The addendum documents responses to vendor questions and comments raised during a pre-bid conference, clarifying project requirements and specifications. Key clarifications include confirmation that subsidence socks are paid per unit, traffic control signage is anticipated to be sufficient with temporary flagging potentially needed for short durations with no separate pay item, and that bat gate installation must occur between May 1 and August 31 due to temperature requirements. Small trees requiring removal for reclamation activities may be windrowed on-site. The contractor is required to complete all construction activities within 45 days from the notice to proceed.
The Engineer's Estimate for the project is $108,794.00, with liquidated damages of $1,000.00 per day assessed after the 45-day completion deadline. The addendum requires vendors to acknowledge receipt of all addenda issued for the solicitation by completing an Addendum Acknowledgement form and submitting it with their bid to avoid potential bid disqualification. All other provisions of the original solicitation and any previously issued addenda remain in full force and effect unless specifically modified by this addendum.
