Office of Primary Responsibility: F/AFMC-DOP. Identification Number: DI-NDTI-80809B. This DID is applicable to engineering (developmental), preliminary qualification, qualification, and acceptance testing activities and supersedes DI-NDTI-80809A and DI-MISC-80653.

The DID prescribes mandatory content elements for test/inspection reports, including cover and title page information (report date, number, contractor identification, contract number, test type, item identification, test period, requiring government activity, and security classification); table of contents; introduction with test objectives, item identification details, and test requirements; summary of significant results and proposed corrective actions; reference documents; body of report sections covering test equipment identification, facility installation and set-up, procedures, recorded data, test results and analysis, conclusions, and recommendations; three separate authentication certifications by contractor and government personnel regarding accuracy of results, prior validation of untested requirements, and item acceptability determination; and appendices for voluminous supporting documentation. Contractor format is acceptable provided all required information is organized to facilitate presentation and understanding. The report must address compliance with system requirements, performance objectives, and specifications as specified in the contract tasking document.
