About this file
This document is Appendix B containing Vandenberg Air Force Base (VAFB) historical monthly solid waste tonnage data spanning from October 2018 through June 2025. The appendix presents actual waste generation quantities across six waste stream categories: Commercial Solid Waste, Commercial Recycling, Asphalt & Concrete, Construction & Demolition (C&D) Waste, Wood Recyclables, and Street Sweepings.
The data tracks monthly tonnage volumes for individual waste streams, with certain periods reported on a quarterly basis (marked as "Dec Qtr," "Mar Qtr," "Jun Qtr," or "Sept Qtr") where monthly breakdowns were unavailable. Commercial Solid Waste represents the largest waste stream, ranging from approximately 65 to 331 tons monthly, while Commercial Recycling ranges from 0 to 122 tons. Asphalt & Concrete tonnages vary significantly from 0 to 237 tons, C&D Waste from 0 to 111 tons, Wood Recyclables from 0 to 42 tons, and Street Sweepings from 0 to 53 tons. Notable data gaps exist in the C&D Waste column marked as "NR" (not reported) for certain months. This historical baseline data would serve as reference material for forecasting waste management service requirements, establishing tonnage estimates for solicitations, or evaluating contractor performance against historical generation patterns at VAFB.
