The amendment clarifies and modifies bid requirements for environmental remediation work at a legacy uranium mine site in Montrose County, approximately 18 miles north of Naturita. Key modifications include updated specifications for Bid Item 7.0 (revegetation materials), with organic fertilizer application increased from 300 to 600 pounds per acre and mulch changed to HH WF Black Diamond Soil Stabilizer pelletized mulch at 2,500 pounds per acre; the addition of a new optional Bid Item 9.0 for geosynthetic clay liner installation (60 linear feet of CETCO Bentomat CL or approved equivalent) along the LaPorte diversion channel; and clarification that backfill from feature 2959 Subs 1 may be used as berm material for Bid Item 4.0. Bid submissions are due by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, with bid opening on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. The amendment incorporates the Uranium Work Safety Procedures plan into project requirements and mandates daily checks of Montrose County fire restrictions throughout the project duration.
The amendment requires bidders to acknowledge receipt and acceptance by submitting the revised bid schedule and include the newly added List of Equipment Offered Form as a mandatory submission document.
