GENERAL NOTES:
1. CAD USERS: THIS DRAWING IS INTENDED TO PROVIDE A LEVEL OF DETAIL REQUIRED FOR ABS REVIEW AND FOR ACCURATELY BIDDING ON
THIS VESSEL. USERS ARE RESPONSIBLE TO VERIFY ALL INFORMATION FOR DIMENSIONAL ACCURACY WHEN ORDERING OR LOFTING MATERIAL.
2. ALUMINUM HULL ANODES SHALL BE DESIGNED FOR USE ON HULLS OF SHIPS, TUGS, BARGES, ETC. ALL ANODES SHALL BE FAIRED OR
TAPERED TO MINIMIZE TURBULENCE. ANODES SHALL BE MANUFACTURED WITH MILD STEEL CORE STRAPS. EIGHT (8) ANODES SHALL BE PROVIDED. ANODES SHALL WEIGH 25 POUNDS EACH AND BE LOCATED GENERALLY AS SHOWN ON THIS DRAWING.
3. ALL ANODES STRAPS SHALL BE WELDED TO THE HULL AFTER THE PAINT HAS BEEN APPLIED TO THE HULL.
4. ANODES SHALL NOT BE PAINTED.
5. ALL CORE STRAPS SHALL BE PAINTED AFTER WELDING.
6. REPLACE ALUMINUM ANODES EVERY 2 YEARS
7. THE ANODES SHALL BE MANUFACTURED AND INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH MIL-SPEC MIL-A-24779.
8. THE ANODES SHALL NOT BE INSTALLED IN AN AREA THAT WOULD INTERFERE WITH THE PLACEMENT
OF A DOCKING BLOCK ON THE VESSEL'S DRY DOCKING PLAN DEFINE IN CONTRACT DRAWING 871-B170-01.
