DESCRIPTION

GENERAL NOTES:

Per ASHRAE, the following design conditions were used:

Outdoor Cooling - 99°F D.B. / 76°F W.B.

Outdoor Heating - 15°F Humidity Ratio - 0.0154 lbs of moisture/lb of dry air

Indoor Cooling - 75°F Indoor Heating - 70°F Humidity Ratio - 0.0093 lbs of moisture/lb of dry air Relative Humidity - 50%

Because the final split ductless unit arrangement is unknown until the calculations are completed, it is assumed that all exterior bulkheads will have solar loads. For those spaces using the same ductless condensing unit, this can be reduced to only 2 solar bulkheads however this will be unknown until the equipment is selected. The only exceptions to this are the Pilothouse and the Upper Deck Passageway. For these spaces, solar loading will only apply to 2 bulkheads and the load will be unaffected by which builkhead it will be applied to.

All glass windows and door windows are assumed to be single pane.

Per SNAME T&R 4-16, boundary temperatures for solar loading (multi boundary) are 119°F for vertical and 134°F for horizontal. The glass solar factor is 120 BTU/hr/sq. ft.

Insulation values are based on SNAME T&R 4-7.
