About this file
This document is a Special Notice from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Johnson Space Center (JSC) regarding the Commercial Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) Development Program (CLDP). The notice invites industry to attend a two-day Technical Interchange Meeting (TIM) on August 13-14, 2024 at JSC's Gilruth Center in Houston, TX. The purpose of the TIM is for NASA to outline safety best practices, lessons learned, and core activities/processes needed to support safe operations and utilization of commercial LEO destinations and payloads. NASA is developing requirements for Commercial LEO Destination (CLD) capabilities that can safely support NASA astronauts and other spaceflight participants in LEO on a commercially owned and operated space system. Registration is required, with a maximum of 5 in-person attendees per company. There is no virtual attendance option. The TIM supports NASA's effort to maintain open communications with the private sector that could aid in the development of safe, reliable, innovative, and cost-effective space destination capabilities.
