About this file
This document is a Special Notice for a Commercial Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Development Program Destination and Payload Safety Technical Interchange Meeting (TIM) hosted by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Johnson Space Center.
The purpose of the TIM is for NASA to outline safety best practices, lessons learned, and core activities needed to support safe operations and utilization of commercial LEO destinations. NASA is developing requirements for Commercial LEO Destination (CLD) capabilities that can safely support NASA astronauts and other spaceflight participants in LEO on a commercially owned and operated space system. The TIM will be held in-person on August 13-14, 2024 at the Gilruth Center in Houston, TX, with space limited to a maximum of 5 attendees per company. Interested parties must RSVP by August 9, 2024. NASA reserves the right to use information received during this TIM to inform its CLD strategy development.
