About this file

This document is a Special Notice regarding the Commercial Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Development Program Destination and Payload Safety Technical Interchange Meeting (CLDP Safety TIM) hosted by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Johnson Space Center.

The purpose of the CLDP Safety TIM is for NASA to outline safety best practices, lessons learned, and core activities/processes needed to support safe operations and utilization of commercial LEO destinations. NASA is developing requirements for Commercial LEO Destination (CLD) capabilities that can safely support NASA astronauts and other spaceflight participants in LEO on commercially owned and operated systems. The two-day event on August 13-14, 2024 will be held at the Gilruth Center in Houston, TX. In-person attendance is limited to 5 attendees per company, and pre-registration is required by August 9, 2024. NASA will use information from this event to inform its CLDP strategy, and reserves the right to share submissions with other NASA stakeholders.
