About this file
This document is a Special Notice for a Commercial Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Development Program (CLDP) Safety Technical Interchange Meeting (TIM) hosted by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Johnson Space Center.
The purpose of the TIM is for NASA to outline safety best practices and lessons learned from its human spaceflight programs, as well as the core activities and processes needed to support safe operations and utilization of commercial LEO destinations. NASA is developing requirements for Commercial LEO Destination (CLD) capabilities that would be able to support NASA astronauts and other spaceflight participants safely in LEO on a commercially owned and operated space system. The two-day TIM will be held on August 13-14, 2024 at the Gilruth Center in Houston, TX. In-person attendance is limited to 5 attendees per company, and pre-registration is required by August 9, 2024. NASA may use the information submitted in response to this TIM to inform its CLDP strategy.
