About this file

This document is a Special Notice from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Johnson Space Center regarding the Commercial Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) Development Program's (CLDP) Destination and Payload Safety Technical Interchange Meeting (TIM).

The purpose of the TIM is for NASA to outline safety best practices, lessons learned from NASA Human Spaceflight Programs, and core activities and processes needed to support safe operations and utilization of commercial LEO destinations. NASA is currently developing requirements for Commercial LEO Destination (CLD) capabilities that would be able to support NASA astronauts and other spaceflight participants safely in LEO on a commercially owned and operated space system. The TIM will be held in-person on August 13-14, 2024 at the Gilruth Center in Houston, TX, with a maximum of 5 attendees per company. Registration is required by August 9, 2024. NASA reserves the right to share information received with the CLDP and other stakeholders, and to use the information in formulating CLDP strategy.
