About this file
This is a Baseline Data Requirements Description (DRD) document for Supply Chain Visibility (SCV) Reporting required under NASA solicitation 80GSFC27R0018. The DRD, issued September 1, 2026, mandates that prime contractors report supply chain data to NASA's Office of Safety and Mission Assurance (OSMA) Supply Chain Risk Management Program to maintain visibility into supply chains supporting critical NASA mission programs and projects. The SCV Reporting application is a secure government information system managing Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), accessible only to authorized users. Prime contractors must designate primary and alternate individuals to perform submissions within thirty days of contract award through the NASA SCV Reporting User Registration website (https://www.nasa.gov/visibility-scic/), updating designations at least thirty days before each reporting due date.
Contractors must submit an initial SCV Report within ninety days of contract award or contract modification incorporating this DRD, then submit updated reports every six months for the contract duration via the online SCV Reporting application. For all three supply chain contractual tiers—Tier One (Prime Contractor), Tier Two (direct subcontractors), and Tier Three (direct subcontracts to Tier Two suppliers)—contractors must provide entity operating names, direct contractual customers, complete performance locations, unique identification codes and contract numbers, CAGE/UEI/NCAGE codes, product/service descriptions with part or model numbers, NASA Technology Taxonomy classifications, technology application descriptions, and contract start/end dates (except for Tier One). The prime contractor is responsible for flowing down SCV Reporting requirements to Tier Two suppliers to support Tier Three reporting. Only products and services for Programs/Projects governed under NPR 7120.5 require reporting. The SCV Reporting DRD is managed by NASA OSMA SCRM Program.
