About this file

This is Amendment 1 to a Request for Bids issued by Salt Lake County Facilities Management for window washing services at six primary locations: Government Center, Sheriff's Office Administration Building, Midvale Senior Center, Public Works Administration Building, Public Works Operations West Side Operations Complex, and Coliseum. The amendment, dated September 18, 2026, clarifies specifications and answers questions posed during a non-mandatory site visit. Key clarifications include permission to use drones for cleaning with a requirement to revert to traditional methods at the contractor's expense if drones leave streaks, create uneven cleaning, or force water through window seals. Government Center skylights will receive exterior-only cleaning without access to the underside. The Coliseum work includes privacy glass on the roof and greenhouse cleaning on an as-needed basis. All buildings have exterior water access except the parking garage at the new building location. Additional county-owned or operated buildings may be added to or removed from the contract during its term using the pricing bid in the Price Schedule.

The Price Schedule was updated as part of Amendment 1 and includes unit pricing per building for single washes and total pricing for annual quantities. Bidders must provide pricing for all base locations as well as separately priced items for Coliseum Greenhouse, Coliseum Parking Structure, and Coliseum Amenities Building on an as-needed basis. For buildings potentially added throughout the contract term, bidders must provide estimated pricing per square foot for various floor levels and access methods, including first floor interior/exterior, second floor with or without lift, third floor with repel or lift, and fourth floor and higher with repel. The solicitation closing date is September 25, 2026, with all pricing to include all charges and labor required for service delivery.

Amendment Number 1

Project: Request for Bids with Resulting Contract Issued by Salt Lake County

Window Washing Project Solicitation #FAC133224 Closing date: 09/25/2026 This amendment represents clarifications and additions to the RFC sourcing event and any of its respective parts. These changes are to be considered part of said documents as though they were included in the original documents. Any terms or conditions of said documents not modified by Amendment Number 1 shall remain unchanged.

Questions were asked at the non-mandatory site visit. The questions and responses are below:

1. Can Drones be used for the cleaning?

We will allow drones for cleaning. If the drones do not clean the windows as well as traditional methods such as, leave streaks, uneven cleaning or there is evidence of water being forced through the window seals, contractor will revert to traditional cleaning methods. Cost for cleaning a second time should be at contractor’s expense if the drone technique fails to clean the windows.

2. What is the height of the skylight at the Government Center?

We are not going to clean underside of government Center skylights.

3. Is the skylight just an interior clean?

Government Center skylights will be exterior only.

4. Can a lift be used for the skylight/used inside the Government Center?

We are not going to clean underside of government Center skylights.

5. Do all of the buildings have water access (including the parking structure at the Coliseum)?

All buildings have outside water access except for the parking garage at the “new building’’ location.

6. Will the glass around the very top roof area of the Coliseum be included in the cleaning?

Please include the privacy glass on the roof of the Coliseum.
