About this file

This document package includes an attachment related to suitability investigations for contractor personnel and a solicitation notice for genetic toxicology support services. The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences intends to award a contract for up to ten years to examine approximately 20 chemicals annually for induction of genetic changes in cells and laboratory animals. Services may include comet assays to assess DNA damage and micronucleus assays to measure chromosomal damage. The contractor will also examine chemicals for ability to induce genetic changes in cultured cells. Because genetic toxicology techniques are evolving rapidly, the contract includes a research effort to refine existing methods and integrate new technologies. The attachment is a template for documenting suitability investigations for contractor personnel working with different clearance levels and investigation types.
