Amendment A00006 dated 6/15/2023
10.
Will the government consider extending the period of performance due to the 4 to 5 months of site utility work, modular trailer dome, and modular trailer relocation? Prior RFPs for this scope of work provided 150 calendar days to complete. Would you consider extending the period of performance an additional 150 calendar days?
Clashin/ Britton
SF 1442, Block 11 and Section F, F.2 are changed from 335 to 450 calendar days, an increase of 115 calendar days.
11.
At the pre-bid conference the KO stated a start date was anticipated for late July 2023, and subsequently Amendment 1 confirms this, while the acceptance period would put the start date nearer to mid-August 2023. In either case the performance period of 335 calendar days appears to be aggressive given the amount of sitework as well as the unknown weather conditions for this location in early fall going into winter. Would there be any consideration to increase the performance period to 450 calendar days.
In the event of extreme winter conditions additional time would allow for activities contingent upon fair weather, such as concrete and masonry and for that matter wood framing to happen outside of the extremes of winter ensuring a better product free from excessive moisture or freezing.

12.
Given the fallout of Covid and / or the continuing excuses being conveyed by most suppliers of all types of equipment it appears that the performance period should be increased. One mechanical equipment manufacturer is suggesting that several of the roof top units specified could be out as far as 6 months after approved submittals and ordering. Will increasing performance period be a consideration for not only windows of fair weather but also procurement of equipment?
