About this file
This is a Request for Quote (RFQ) issued by the U.S. Coast Guard for drydock repairs for the USCGC KENNEBEC, a vessel homeported in Coast Guard District 5 in Virginia. The solicitation is set aside for Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) concerns, with a total contract period from January 6, 2026 to March 16, 2026. The contract is firm fixed price and includes a base item and an option period, both with a NAICS code of 336611 (Ship Building and Repairing).
Key response dates include: drawings request deadline of November 10, 2025, site visit contact deadline of November 10, 2025, questions deadline of November 15, 2025, and proposal submission deadline of November 20, 2025. The anticipated award date is December 20, 2025. Offerors must submit three parts: a price quote, technical capability (limited to 10 pages), and past performance information (limited to 3 pages). The government will evaluate offers using a best value trade-off approach, with technical capability and past performance being significantly more important than price. A pre-award survey will be conducted to assess the contractor's qualifications and facility certification under U.S. Coast Guard specifications.
